Terry Peng, a songwriter, sound designer, and a composer for films, TV, video games and other works subject to both audio and audiovisual.
Introduced to music with piano at an early age, and later picked up a variety of instruments such as guitars, percussions, strings that further helped him realize his love in creating music, and sound in general.
Grew up in Taiwan, and later studied abroad in UK; His works sometimes leave the trace of influences from various cultural backgrounds. Other influences from his exposures to video games and animations can also be heard in his compositions.
In early 2012, Terry joined the course MA Sound Art at London College of Communication (University of Arts London) where he took the opportunities to see sound from a different perspective, and started to work as sound designer in various projects.
Since completing his MSc in Composition for Screen at the University of Edinburgh, he have worked on various projects; some of which have been awarded, nominated, and have been shown across the word in different festivals.
Terry also creates music under different disguises to explore musical genres such as Nerv Hacker, where he compose with the elements of chiptune, and electronic oriented music; and the Other I, for tackling the genre of drone, ambient and experimental music.
In early 2014, Terry started a side project named Mōrch (Monster Orchestra), a musical project where he explore different musical identities and instrumentations through collaborating with various musicians and musical experimentations.
